As ShockwaveMC1 said, It will be very laggy but for bad computers, mojang should make the command a bit slower to finish.

This could be done quite easily. Just make a certain area. Say /fillbiome wadda wadda and in that area, the selected area would have that biomes features. Ex: making an area a soulsand valley would give a cyan fog and maybe display particles. As well as changing mob spawns. It wouldn't really affect the seed too much because the chunk isn't being reloaded, and keeps its generation because it's preloaded. TL;DR port world edit.

It should definitely have a second set of coords for East use /setbiome ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ swamp

What about the sub biomes? There should also be a optional <subbiome> argument if you wanted your biome to have a sub biome. For example, if I wanted a savanna biome with a extreme hill sub biome, I would type in /setbiome ~ ~ ~ minecraft:savanna_biome minecraft:extreme_hill_subbiome

This is really good for builders, like me. Imagine you are building a floating island between plains and a desert. At some point, the grass will get a bit yellowish from the desert. I personally don't like that. So the setbiome command would let you to have for example jungle colored grass in a desert, plains colored grass in a desert, and so on.

Absolutley Brilliant, like y'could set the coords to change the biome of choice. Would be very useful for my super flat world which I'd wished for a long time I could change.

    I agree. Maybe the command would be something like /fill X Y Z X Y Z biome minecraft:plains

/setbiome x1 z1 x2 z2 [biome name]  could change grass and water colors

/fillbiome x1 z1 x2 z2 [biome name] could change the structures. for example, trees cacti or flower/ grass patches and the type and rate at which they can spawn

Adding {blend [biome name] x1 x2 z} could blend the biome you placed with nearby biomes

si!! por ejemplo en un mapa en el que quiero simular una jungla, los bloques de pasto tienen un color normal en vez del verde tan vivo de la jungla, o al simular un pantano con esa agua lodosa

    /fillbiome should work with x, y and z, not just x and z.

Would be great for mapmaking, and it wouldn't be neccessary to wait for external tools to update or to build your map in an older version.

    Or maybe the use is /setbiome x z x2  z2 [biome]

    Example /setbiome 0 0 100 100 plains
