YES I have been really needing a /setbiome command because I’m making a map! It could also be very useful for map makers too

If you use java edition, you can make the world one biome with the buffet world option.

instead of having an entire rectangular area to be affected, it would be better to add something like this:

    /setbiome jungle x1 z1 x2 z2 x3 z3....

i think the command should be setup like this:

    /setbiome (radius) (biome) (combinedata: true/false)

    so like this:

    /setbiome 30 taiga true

(Cobine data is like if your changing a desert to snow biome, if the data is set to true, it will snow. if set to false, it wont rain at all because it still has the data of the desert biome. make sense? thats what i thought lol.

Yeah, I also think this is a great idea for map makers and you don't need to use programs and tools out there like: WorldEdit, MCEdit, WorldPainter, BiomePainter etc.

    /setbiome <x1> <z1> <x2> <z2> <biome>

    Ex: /setbiome 19 19 56 78 minecraft:modified_gravelly_mountains

Good for mapmakers to control biome order and make maps more convincing. Also good for testing new mob spawn or other mechanics to do with a specific biome without having to move.

    Only a specific chunk or 30 by 30 land piece, also you should be able to create a /set ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~ village

    /setbiome [center] [radius] [biome] or /setbiome [from: x y z] [to: x y z] [biome]

the radius would be in chunks, whereas the coordinates are just blocks
