maby barnacles could grow on any wood in or out of water, that way if you are building a pier in minecraft, barnacles would appear on the legs of the pier to add more realism to minecraft, right now minecraft piers are to clean at the moment.

Starfish could be used to brew a potion of sticking, which would allow players to climb vertically on surfaces.

They should be stationary mobs, like shulkers (without the attacks)

Sea urchins can be a mob that is a block but acts like a cactus!

I think barnacles should work like sea pickles where they can stack up to 4 on one block, and when underwater they emit light and their pink feeder legs (called cirri) stick out. Unlike sea pickles, they can generate on any side of the block, but only on "hard" blocks such as stone and wood, not dirt and sand and ice. They can only generate in oceans within 5 blocks of the surface and up to 2 blocks above sea level. That way, you might find barnacle colonies lighting up rocky shores or sunken shipwrecks or tide pools.

I think barnacles should be found on shipwrecks too. It would make shipwrecks seem older, since the ones we usually find are just a pile of broken wood, so they don't look super old. I also think that sea urchins should have a chance of poisoning you, since I'm pretty sure eating sea urchins in real life (if that's actually a thing) is dangerous.

It would be cool if barnacles could spawn on sea turtles
