I support any biome that gives us more access to red sand, and this sounds very well thought out and interesting.

Will a bottle of this poison water just naturally be throwable instead of drinkable, or would it need to be turned into a splash potion?

The one concerning thing is what happens when natural terrain generation causes water to cross out of this biome?  Or is there very special terrain generation within the biome that would prevent such a thing?

ClayGoddessSari Thank you! It would be turned into a splash potion, sorry for not being more clearer

If it’s so empty, we don’t really need a new dimension. It can be a Fossil Mesa or something like that. There are many new dimensions that want to exist already. Sorry!

Great idea, but only if you add the city dimension

Like a revamped Badlands you can find in Survival? I love it.

If nothing spawns there what's the point of the boost? Are you referring to NEW mobs?

    Nonetheless, I like your idea!

I had an idea where it would be caused by the Wither. Where wherever you spawn the wither he'll kill everything around him in a large area, turning the grass grey, with a new tainted soil block. The trees lose the leaves and the bark turns black. This is also a way to add the wither flower into the over world. There would be a variant zombie in the area that's also grey and dusty. And if the wither attacks a village it makes them all dusty too, leaving charred ruins.

This biome also has a rare chance to spawn on it's own in the over world. when it spawns on it's own there would also be new cave generations. Such as circular pits that drop down, like craters, as well as craters. Perhaps underground in the caves Netherack would spawn occasionally like granite or andesite. There would be a higher chance to find a abandoned, portal, and village ruins with dusty village zombies would spawn.

I don't know if this is possible.... but to have it be cloudier above the biome itself. perhaps having that be a way to see it from a distance.

I think that it would create a nice contrast against temperate areas that are very green. And it would almost be like a bit of lore as well (adding to the dramatic power of the wither).

I'm sorry I feel like I'm piggybacking. Generally I think that a wasteland biome would create some really cool contrast with the biomes around it. And I love the mushrooms. love me some mushrooms and red sand.

I like the direction you're headed however, i feel that a Heat Exhaustion bar should be added and you must drink water bottles to keep the bar up as food for saturation. You would collect the water before adventuring into the biome and water bottles should be stackable.

I think it would be cool to have an ALL-wasteland biome and try to survive
