New Biome Called Cherry Blossom Grove

Cherry Blossom trees would make an amazing addition to the game and would add some fancy to many people's worlds! Like with oak trees and how you can harvest apples, you would be able to harvest cherries from these trees! I really hope you take my ideas into your consideration! I would really love to see Cherry Blossom trees into the game!

    It would be cool if - like in real life if the cherry trees had  pink flowers in the leaf blocks

    I am sometimes critical of new biome ideas, but I gotta admit I have fallen in love with this one!

    This biome would give color to Minecraft with its pink-leaved trees and cherries! It would look gorgeous!

    I applaud!

    the leaves would have to have a particle effect to make it look like the blossoms are falling off and dwindling in the wind before reaching the ground that the only way to capture the purest beauty of the cherry blossom trees

    There could also be golden cherries which give you boosts like golden apples.

    Note: This biome does exist in the Biomes o' Plenty mod (awesome mod btw!). Though they don't have cherries, cherry blossom groves are really cool and they could take ideas from that mod.

    I think the grass blocks within a certain distance of the tree base should be blossom covered, example Podzol.

    I love this. Perhaps we could simply add cherry trees to the flower forest, and that would make it an even flowerier forest!

    This cherry tree makes Minecraft more colour full..and I wish too palms in Minecraft...that's looks more nice in a island..I play Minecraft on my mobile phone...I love this game...

    It would be great if they made this a whole biome.  

    I came here just to support the trees.

    I feel like plant life in minecraft lacks color.  Nature is amazingly colorful.  Yes we have flowers, and giant mushrooms but colorful trees would make the landscape inspiring and encourage exploration.  

    If they went full biomes with this, image the wonderfully amazing Asian inspired villages that could be naturally generated.

    It feels like the right time for a new and completely unique land biome.  Perhaps it is seeing how coral made the oceans vibrant and colorful again giving us reason to explore and create.  I'd like to see that same thing happen on land.  

    Full support for any type of implementation of this idea.  From just adding colorful trees or taking it to full biome addition, I feel like we need this.

    I'd really love this. I really want to see more types of trees being added to the game and with the addition of actual cherries being added to the game as well (and make cherry pie's) this idea sounds awesome.

    Oh since we have cherry trees we should have charrys as a food item, maybe they only recover 1/2 of food but has amazing saturation

    Cherry blossoms could rarely spawn on their own in forest biomes except in specific zones (like how bamboo can rarely found by itself or be found in huge patches)

    Cherry trees and Cherry Blossom trees are different

    Cherry blossoms are a flowering tree with pink or white leaves, Cherry Blossoms do not grow edible fruit

    Cherry trees with edible fruit have green leaves.

     

    im all in support of the cherry blossoms, pink and white leaves (Sakura Trees)

    as for cherry fruit, we already have sweet berry bushes now...

    (for berry suggestions, i suggest Blueberries and craftable pie)

    Ideas For the Biome:

    Biome Mob: The Koi Fish. Just a peaceful mob-like normal fish but a nice addition like the Pandas. :D They could have a new behaviour where they would swim in circles (eg radius of 3-5 blocks)

    The Flower Podzol (?) Similarly to podzol, its flower variant would form under Sakura trees (the cherry trees) and would have pinkish grass/podzol texture

    A new liquid called Springwater which would have regenerative properties and would be light in colour like the warm ocean (no infinite source tho)

    There could be a chance of a new village type with villagers in kimono-like clothes

     

    I would personally make this an Island Biome with rarity equal or smaller than the mushroom islands. :D ... Island because... well ... a reference to Japan.

    This will be a good biome for a sub biome like the forest. Like the bamboo jungle with the implementation of a mutated jungle biome, the cherry blossom grove will be a mutated biome which won’t change the generation of the world. I would like to see the new trees:)

    bamboo should also occasionally generate, and pandas should also spawn in. maybe a new mob called red panda too, also spawn in jungles and montains

    While I don't like the idea of giving the trees their own biome I am even more apposed to the idea of integrating them into flower forests rather than opting for what I feel would be a more natural and impactful placement. I feel they should be added to areas of elevated terrain near bamboo forests and be somewhat uncommon, but should not be made rare. I suggest they have a maximum grouping size and density equivalent to a small and somewhat spread out grove.
