NOTICE

Are you sure you want to report this?

Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical slabs.

YES! I had the exact same idea! How about, when constructing the wagon, you need to construct different parts separately. So the actual wagon skeleton and body separate from the wagon wheels and the canvas. You can also add a part at the back for chest space or a seat for players to sit on. I'm not too pick. Also please make sure, when making the wagon, it's like the same entity coding as a boat (so it doesn't despawn.), make it so you can't glitch out of the wagon when standing inside of the wagon and it'll be great that blocks can be placed inside of it. I'm not too picky about it, but those extra functions would make it great, so I hope the best for this idea!

(I know most people are thinking about horses, mules and donkey's carrying, but, as it's MineCraft, pigs carrying would be cool too!)

How interesting - I was thinking of something similar, too!

I was thinking that maybe, to balance it out against other forms of transportation, it would need a relatively flat surface to ride on - You would have to invest in a road. Maybe if you tried to force it over rough terrain, the different parts that VikingLemon9009 was suggesting could break individually?

I Like it added to this Wagon can attach to horse, Pig, Llama. Llamas with carts could make a caravan.

Perfect. Maybe two kinds of wagons, one for a traveling crafter, or one as a hauler. The traveling crafter wagon could be great for long journeys that might keep you away from home a few nights past your expectations.

I personally just ran into the issue of building my home, getting it all set up, then while adventuring i found a more suitable area for my homestead. I feel that a hauler wagon would ease up on transporting large amounts of product without the need to mine for hours on end to get enough iron, gold, and redstone to make a mine train.

Having the ability to transport other players as well would be nice if the intention is to make raiding an option. Have one play drive the wagon, while the rest coast along as passengers.

I definitely agree with the previous comment of making individual parts of the wagon then building it skeleton style. Making it a little bulkier i'd presume, but for those who tend to make large pathways from A to B, this wouldn't be a problem.

The wagon on rough terrain would need to have a health bar. Obviously they can't just be indestructible, so if riding on rougher terrain for too long would break it down, it would encourage players to be more cautions on their journey.

This would be good for multiplayer. Being able to take your friend's on a trip without them darting off to some random cave.
