Skyblock Game Mode

Skyblock was originally a challenge map created by forum user Noobcrew. It started the player on a floating island with only an ice block and bucket of lava, and is immensely popular for it's particular brand of challenge and the satisfaction of "creating something from nothing." There are ways to tweak the world creation to basically make your own skyblock map, but I think it would be neat to have an entire gamemode or "world type" set up specifically to quickly create and play Skyblock challenge maps.

    its really good idea to bring skyblock gamemode in minecraft.

    And best of all is to see the structure, such as woodland mansion,the ocean monument, etc. all of that in skyblock.

    but the structures, such as woodland mansion,the ocean monument, are rare. The player can obtain the maps of woodland mansion and the ocean monument by trading with the villagers (Cartography). Same as the the normal worlds.

    And it would be nice to change the mob drops, like husk drop sand, or zombies gravel.

    add skyblock to consoles. trying to create your own on a superflat just doesnt feel right

    I personally only play skyblock. The reason we need a skyblock world type, is so that the biome flags generate as normal, but no terrain is placed for chunk generation.

    This would allow us skyblock players to make use of biome specific effects, like fishing in jungles for bamboo, using rivers to spawn drowned, and experience the ambience of the new Nether biomes. Without having to rely on custom maps.

    This also means you can use any seed to generate a different Biome layout for your skyblock.

    Also this world type would need to remove mineshafts, strongholds and villages since they wouldn't generate correctly. They could also utilise the "bonus chest" mechanic that already exists to generate the "essentials" required for a skyblock game.

    Yes, i agree.

    The only way to make skyblocks game mode, now is to either play minigame or make it at own.

    I think things like spawners and ocean monuments should still generate in the emptiness, and give the emptiness normally distributed biomes so that various mobs still spawn. It would be fun to build out and see a floating ocean monument surrounded by a block of water (for the guardians) in the sky

    While this may never be added, as much as i am hurt to say that - mojang wont add this likely to ps4, as it's xbox that gets 'gold treatment' (a popular term for xbox players on minecraft snapshots, half a year before updates)

    i persionally like this, for superflat and maybe console could get infinet worlds or custom worlds, but they say console limetations, thats a lie, your console only renders chunks within 24X distance (at least i think but still valid)

    When playing skyblock update new island the game turns to creative mode when you get to a certain point and you can't die or break anything.
    Any idea how to fix this?

    sorry but in minecraftbedrock you have to pay massive prices just for few pixels so just dont buy it, if you dont buy it you wont play it

    Truly empthy skyblock would be perfect! No nether no mainland no end just starting land and possibility to have it all.
