Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Rewritable signs (was: Text on signs)

Allow players to rewrite a sign after placing it on the world without breaking it.

    The only one who can edit the sign is THE PLAYER WHO PLACED IT, in order to not edit the sign by other players when you upload the map

    What about not only having editable signs but movable ones as well? What if you put the sign in the wrong place? Wouldn't it be helpful if you could move the sign to the correct place as well?

    This would be especially helpful for Minecraft PE as it is much easier to mistype/submit the text too soon than on other platforms.

    Yeah it could happen with right-click but if (with commands) the sign do a function when right-clicked?

    Maybe a better way is to add a ‘quill’ (made from a feather and ink sack) that can be used on a sign to change the text. The quil will also be used to make the ‘book and quil’

    That's true, but if you type out a whole sign and click Submit, and then find that you have a typo, it would be so much easier to right-click and fix the typo than to break the sign have rewrite everything.

    I'd like to add here: You know how putting a map on an item frame pulls it out to cover the entire block?  What if we could do that with a sign? We could write on the sign, pin it up in the frame, and it would cover the whole block :)   With a few of these lined up next to eachother the wall could become a clean, seamless writing surface ;)

    @Zorro8183 Well if we had rewritable signs that would be less of a problem because you could click to rewrite it and press CTRL+A to select the text and then click CTRL+C to copy it and then destroy the sign and then replace it and then press CTRL+V to paste it.
