Gold Veins in Rivers (Pan for Gold and Iron Nuggets, and More Treasures)

Aren't you tired of fishing and all you get is junk, even in real life, when you can never catch anything. What if you could go gold panning in minecraft and get gold and iron easily when you get bored. It'll be more common to find gold than iron, because iron is a lot stronger. You can also find treasure maps, cobblestones, sticks, and you can find bones, and also skeleton and wither skeleton skulls. Finally, a way to get a mob heads the easy way! The gold pan can be crafted with a cauldron with a web on top and iron nuggets on the sides, and a stick as the handle. The web would act as a sifter and the cauldron would be where the sand and stones drop into. The treasure will remain on top of the web. You can also obtain the heart of the sea, and the nautalis shell when doing this. This is all you need to do when you're short on iron and gold.

  For iron and gold you should get gold nuggets and iron nuggets not the full ingot

  A good idea.  I have thought of some elaborations.  When a bucket of water is placed by a player, it has a 1% chance of dropping a gold nugget.

  I like the idea of finding gold nuggets in streams, but I would propose a different method:

  • In river biomes (only), any sand mined had the same chance to convert into a gold nugget as gravel does to turn into flint.

  (I initially thought on a prospecting pan where you would craft it and use it on water within rivers to get loot (similar to fishing) however I couldn't think on a good game mechanic for it to work)

  Yes! This is great! Although, I was thinking of using a bowl with a cobweb or an iron bar in a crafting table, and I don’t agree with the mob heads. You gotta work for those.
