For iron and gold you should get gold nuggets and iron nuggets not the full ingot

A good idea.  I have thought of some elaborations.  When a bucket of water is placed by a player, it has a 1% chance of dropping a gold nugget.

I like the idea of finding gold nuggets in streams, but I would propose a different method:

    • In river biomes (only), any sand mined had the same chance to convert into a gold nugget as gravel does to turn into flint.

(I initially thought on a prospecting pan where you would craft it and use it on water within rivers to get loot (similar to fishing) however I couldn't think on a good game mechanic for it to work)

Yes! This is great! Although, I was thinking of using a bowl with a cobweb or an iron bar in a crafting table, and I don’t agree with the mob heads. You gotta work for those.

Awesome, made a post about combining all the gold features into one update, Gold and Glory, if it's alright I'll add your idea and give you credit. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360050506192-Gold-and-Glory-Update

I was thinking that a good idea would be: You have to have sand in your iventory, then you use a bowl on a water block (possibly a moving water block) and it uses one sand block from your inventory and gives a chance to receive a gold nugget or two.

I agree with this idea, but just one thing. Maybe You shouldn't have a special pan for this, maybe you should just use a regular plate, you know, the one we use for soups. AND, instead of gold being common, you should make it really hard to find the nuggets, because in real life it takes a long time. So everything you can collect with the pan should be hard to get, like in real life. So maybe like a 10% chance or something. But anyways, love the idea, but just saying what I was going to post.
