    • Desert/Jungle Temple- Mystic Choir Chords
    • Village- Talking ambiance
    • etc.....

I genuinely don't know if this is even possible in procedurally generated areas.

Crashing waves & seagulls when close enough to the water.

Strong wind & crumbling rock when traveling high enough.

    Echoy water dripping in caves.

    Wind chimes in villages.

Strong wind & vultures in the desert.

Rustling leaves & birds in the forests.

Splashing fish & rapids near rivers.

    Bubbly muffled sounds under water.

Yes! Please port the cave noises from Java edition to Minecraft Bedrock.

The second idea could go further. While the winds blowing, trees, grasses and flowers should swing tenderly as they are in the real world, not only in forests, in order to build the atmosphere in Minecraft. Therefore, winds should blow everywhere. It’s applicable as you see what happens upon the kelp.

Once I saw someone posted some ideas about ambient mobs, however, they are tend to be not interactive for players and no loots for them. On the other hand, I think that birds should join the game like parrots and the creatures underwater and also have thousands of colors.

But the third idea is to make cave adventure more scary, though it isn’t mysterious as the caves should be. So it’s not required to be proposed.

It wouldn’t have to be much either but the overworld really needs an ambiance overhaul. It gets kind of Erie in the game with this silent world. Sound adds a lot of deapth, and it wouldn’t have to be anything huge, just like some light wind blowing through trees and stuff, but nothing too overpowering. Just enough to make it more inviting.

i think the cave sounds are super unnerving already! they definitely keep me ON MY TOES whenever i'm mining!! man, some of them are really... ...horrifying. especially when you know theres mobs nearby.

Wind sounds at high altitudes/specific wind sounds for different biomes

    Birdsong in the morning

    Crickets in forests at night

    Fish splashing

Frogs and insects in swamp biomes

    Rockfall sounds in mountain biomes

Bushes/ferns rustling in taiga (could be incorporated with foxes)

Ice creaking in iceberg oceans and tundra biomes

    Dripping water in caves

Frankly every biome should have a set of unique sounds. It would be nice to have some kind of indicator when you move from one biome to another.

Il me semble avoir lu quelque part que le jeu n'a pas moyen de savoir quand tu es dans une caverne, rendant la troisième idée impossible...ai-je tort?

Les sons de vent, par contre, ça, ça me dit bien

maybe a special block could be used to make some of the ambient sounds (like birds chirping, wave sounds or waterfall sounds) as an alternative if the full idea isn't able to be implemented.

I really want them to add this, but please make it an option to turn on/off on settings. Some people might not want this and I don't want them to stop playing because of this.

I my self would really like it. I almost never play minecraft with out a playlist I made on youtube of different biome sounds.
I just makes such a difference to play with ambient sounds, makes the game seem more alive.

If you never tried it, just get a video of some nature sounds, like this one "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G8LAiHSCAs" and play around a bit in a tree biome, it makes such a difference.

Also for caves, i use this one "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ2GanJIGbk" the dripping sounds with echo make it so much more immersive.

I know there are some mods with this, but with every update, mods stop working,

I really hope they add this to the game in the next update. Regardless of how much new things they put it, the game always feels dead to me with out any ambient sounds. To me its important that the game feels alive.

Minecraft can seem like such a desolate and lonely world sometimes...ambient sounds would round out our world nicely and add a welcome bit of realism.  Wind at high altitudes, bird sounds in forests, frogs croaking at night in swamps, crickets chirping in fields, stuff like that.  I've been playing for 6 years and I love this game and have been hoping that someday we would enjoy more natural sounds in our world.  Thank you for considering this idea and thanks for the opportunity to make suggestions.

Mojang should make at least 1 ambient sound for every biome so it could be so immersive

Ditto. I believe that Minecraft just sounds a bit to silent ...  The birds would be a great addition, since us humans are so used to hearing them... Minecraft just doesn’t sound natural without them.

More can be done with this; lightning bugs spawning at night in forests and swamps as particles flashing in and out. (Perhaps you can catch them with a bottle to get a lightning bug light source?). Owls hooting at night, eagles/raptors screeching during the day, songbirds chirping in the early morning, crows cawing at dusk, frogs croaking through the night in swamps and whatnot, crickets making a chirping noise. Wildlife in just the form of audio could be really nice, and would add a lot of atmosphere to an otherwise dead-quiet game.

I believe that sound, and hearing, is as important as visualization to providing an immersive and encapsulating experience in any media. I know that adding a more in-depth sound aspect to Minecraft’s features will insanely improve the experience for us players (and developers), and make the game so much more immersive, deep, and exciting to explore. It will take Minecraft to the next level.

Adding birds, bugs, and other animal and nature sounds to the overworld in addition to adding wind ambience, cave ambience, and underwater ambience and having them vary based on time of day and biome would change the way the game is perceived and make it an even more fun experience for everyone.

I will literally help implement this for free.

This would be great, but at least make it dynamic, you wouldn't hear birds chirping in a "forest" with no trees, or waves crashing in an "ocean" or "river" with no water. One example is that maybe an occasional single cricket chirp from tall grass and double tall grass at night in biomes with a temperature above 0.5 or something (it would be weird hearing crickets in a cold place like the taiga even though there is grass there.) This would mean that if you cut all the overgrown grass then the crickets wouldn't be there. With that idea it could expand from various birds chirping from trees, with the biome and time of day and weather affecting what animals can be heard. Some could be rarer as well, like a bird of prey in the desert, plains or mountains. Cicadas from trees in the savannah as well maybe, various frog species from water and trees in jungles and swamp, you get the idea. They could have an enormous sound library for all the different animals with of course variations for each. This is just my opinion on it.

Its already eery enough with the cave sounds, and i do agree that ambient sounds would be an awesome feature to be added in. This would change gameplays for people tremendously especially me sense i play a-lot of single player worlds.

@SpanCarton9158 Excellent ideas! But with biome-specific sounds, I see some difficulty implementing them. The main thing for me is that if a user mines away or completely changes the biome, the sounds should stop, or change accordingly. For instance, if you remove all the grass, trees, and plants from a forest biome to build a giant swimming pool, there should not be cricket noises heard there anymore. So I would add to your idea that these noises must check for a logical source of the sound. Crickets would be easy - just check for a grass block, say.

Possible sources for some of the biome-specific sounds you mentioned:

    • Crickets - sourced from a grass block in a forest.
    • Insects (like cicadas) - a leaf block in swamp biome.
    • Frogs - grass block or a lily pad, next to water in swamp biomes.
    • Rockfall - stone on a slope in a mountain biome.
    • Ice creaking - large mass of ice (3x3x3) in a biome where water freezes.
