    I agree, there should be a renewal of caves.
    Many have already written about this. Here is also my view on this update:
    underground biomes
     mushroom biom , which does not look like an island, looks more like a "garden". There grow certain trees, creepers, mushrooms (large and small ), moss (it will serve as a decoration for the area or an ingredient).
    flooded biomes
    big Dungeon, labirynth with mini bosses
    Dark biome: is similar to contaminated land (the player slows down, gets negative effects, maybe the food will not be suitable for eating). Such a biome can be completed thanks to amulets.
    These biomes will be small (70x70?).
    -Underground Village
    why not make a new type of village with Pigman. The village will not be like a surface. Let them grow mushrooms instead of wheat, sell rare items (precious objects, crystals, potions, cave maps).
    Working specialties: alchemist, cartographer, miner and warrior.
    They do not sleep.
    - Crystals and minerals
     designed for alchemy and a new type of mechanism
    They work at the expense of crystals (not redstone). Perhaps they will come across in some underground biomes. Perhaps they will be the currency of trade with the Pigmen.

    Part 2

    -Mobs that spawn only in caves.
    One of them will make those same “scary" sounds, but not a screamer. It cannot be struck, but when approaching it disappears, or at the end of the “sound”, it is transparent, looks like a miner.
    Second mob Pigman (he is a resident)
    All underground mobs are aggressive, except for residents ( neutral or Peaceful)
    A mob that spawns in water. It attracts the player with its tongue or tentacles (long enough), which paralyze for a while.
    Undead
    - jewelry, precious objects.
    This is not ore, not emeralds. For example, a compass (this type of compass indicates an underground treasury, while maps only have passages).
    Amulets (help fight mobs, namely remove, reduce the time of the viser effect (or new effects), make you invisible to some underground mobs, while potions for such mobs cannot cope. They warn about traps (accompanied by sound). Yes in there must be traps in the caves. These charms tend to end like a pickaxe. They cannot be created, only bought or with a small probability to be found in the mines.

    Part 3

    - traps
    One of them is cliffs (they are a hole, but the surface is closed by a block of physics like gravel sand). This block may look like a broken stone, when a player steps on it, the block with the player fails.
    other types of traps.
    - Cave maps cannot be crafted, only bought. It is possible to find a torn map in the chests or a small part (you need to find two or three parts). Torn parts of the map can be found in mines, some underground biomes. The principle of the map is similar to empty, the map itself is quite large.
    Perhaps Dungeon maps (or other types of maps ) will show the area in the treasury, then such map are only sold by the Pigmen. ordinary cave map passages in caves, then such can be crafted.

    This is a really good idea and I think that mineshafts should also get revamped and add some sort of key to a room where they keep ores.

    What about making rats in some caves and the rats are scared of light but in the dark they can bite and poison you. Idk...

    update dirt      like :1 worms  2 burned grass 3 the statue making

    next the cave: 1 you must have lower the cave sounds 2 underground city 3 underground mobs like mummy

    its a lot of ideas i just told some of theme 

    (the 1.15 must be cave update :)

    I think we should make cave paintings of hidden treasure maps lead to treasures? That might be fun :D

    Additional: I think we should put mobs to protect the treasure, makes it even more intense!

    I'd like to see that on Minecraft
    I am not 100% comfortable with the idea of stalagmites and stalagtites but is only my opinion and I won't stop playing, is not to bad.

    I think working on caves is a great way to create a better progression inside of Minecraft. It's been a little bit off lately but I think making it a more difficult challenge to navigate your way to diamonds and obsidian - it would make crossing dimensions feel like more of a feat like I assume was the intent, and also just overall fulfill a lot more accomplishment once you've gone into the post-game challenges. And I don't think focusing too much on caves really makes people want to not do the other fun aspects of the game like building or farming, either - in fact, I think a slower and more fine-tuned progression using caves could actually encourage players to take their time and explore and build on the world around them.

    Can we get a big anthropod mob boss living down there too, for example a giant spider that uses blindness effect, so we can finally make use of the bane of arthropods enchantement.
