Please add this to bedrock
This would be awsome for everyone
WE NEED TO VOTE THIS UP! But seriously, this would be SO much fun to mess around with and making maps servers and minigames that need NBT edits would be SO much easier. This is a big reason why a lot of people prefer Java over Bedrock too (along with mods and maps and servers and redstone but those are not the point of this) and adding this would make Bedrock another step closer to being as good as java.
im trying to get into bedrock so i can play cross-platform, and after hours of fruitless research about why my commands arent working, i find this?
come on mojang, minecraft without commands is like a bethesda game without modsYES YES YES this needs to happen
Im a win10 mapmaker and i do the commands and its getting kinda hard
Please also add the lore function for items! It just adds to the experience for certain kinds of maps...
if nbt is impossible on bedrock, please implement an alternative like full json implementation of nbt like variable manipulation. i’d gladly add all those double quotes around name fields. this is where it looks like we’re going but who knows why java gets all the love and bedrock lags behind in critical creative tools.
This will give people that are good with commands more ideas and it is great for map makers
out of all the things we need in bedrock edition. IS IT THE MOST IMPORTANT! please for love of god add this soon. it's the main thing that turns off players from playing this version!
As a realm host I agree with this 100%. While there are workarounds with command blocks in bedrock it is very limited and the amount of command blocks that it takes to get these to work is insane. Map making just for a few random custom items is a giant headache. so i can only imagine what actual map makers have to deal with. If Mojang and Microsoft are trying to push creators to sell stuff in the maketplace give them all the tools they need to produce that great content. With NBT tags custom mobs, and even bosses are available to place in worlds. Map makers can make awesome items, villager trades, and so many other features. There is no question about this on 100,000 levels this needs to be a thing.
Thank you
You need this stuff or the most you can do on bedrock (in terms of commands) is always going to be pitiful. I know from experience.
If you are a Bedrock Player, YOU NEED THIS
Yes, I totally agree that bedrock needs this. I mean this could open up a whole new world of possibilities. I would aslo love if they could add custom bossbars :)
GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT
Or it could be similar to the behavior pack scripting already in game.
Example:
/give @p diamond 1 1 {"BehaviorData": {"components": { "minecraft:on_use" : {"minecraft:command" : {"execute_As" : "Player" :{ {"/tp @s 104 68 32"}, {"/clear @s diamond 1 1"} } } }, {"minecraft:max_Stack_Size": 1 }, {"minecraft:item_Name": "Return Home" } }
The diamond you get from the command will teleport you to x=104 y=68 x=32 when you use the item (right click while holding), but will delete it upon use. It is also an unstackable item named Return Home.
Yess we need some NBT tags! I tried make a post of Reinforced Painting, juuuust in case they didn't do this, but if they did this, this would be really nice!
And why not just add ALL of the NBT tags possible?
We need more than just specific command changes, we need the syntax overhauled to match Bedrock Edition to Java
Yes, Please Mojang! I own the trial version of Java on Windows XP. Please just add it! BTW its just laggy on winXP maybe just bc there is a old graphics card in it. Just PLEASE!
Yeah that would be really useful, and if they could also add like almost all of the nbt options in Java that would be awesome.
I want them to add it so we can custum name items using /give @p Ender_pearl 1 0 {display:{Name:"I Can See You!"}}
Please add these.
This would be very helpful for mob battles! In Java, you can give entities custom equipment with /summon, even with the option to enchant it. In Bedrock, the only ways to give entities equipment is by using the dispenser, the /replaceitem command, or have some of the humanoids pick them up off the ground, which is exhausting.
And this post should be under review.
I wanted to make a practice dummy by summoning a zombie with no AI, but it only works on Java. PLEASE MOJANG ADD NBT TO BEDROCK EVER SO KINDLY! BEDROCK USERS VOTE FOR IT WE NEED THAT!
This would be pretty useful to make secret bases, hidden item frames, etc... Adding this would make Minecraft so much easier to build what you want!
