Maybe add some exotic animals that you don't see a whole bunch of, like pandas, maybe some lions, tigers, bears, etc. Also monkeys would be great! Maybe make some more animals tameable so we can have more pets than just dogs and cats. Also, put some more variety in the dogs, like different breeds of dogs

I don't see the point. Why gorillas? You gave no info other than that it's neutral

The Jungle in Minecraft has not much of animal life to present other than the ocelots and Parrots, unlike actual jungles. The apes unlike other mobs will not be tameable but neutral adding a bit more wildness to Minecraft. This mob could be either added as a Gorilla, Orangutan, or some other sort of ape. They will be a mob that live in tribes with a leader(Could be a Silverback if Gorillas were added). The group of apes will live together in giant jungle trees that are a bit taller and wider than the big jungle trees that already exist. They could have a few branches ranging from the trunk of the tree and of course vines to climb up on. The apes would have unique behaviour unlike the behaviour of any other mob. They would have a territory that might be either 4×4 chunks or even larger, but the apes would not leave the jungle biome, therefore any other biome even if in the 4×4 chunk area would not count as their territory. The territory is very important to the group. If you break the giant jungle tree they live in the whole group, excluding the cubs, will attack you. This will also happen if you break any tree in their territory and don't replant it(can also be simplified if you try to break any tree you will get attacked regardless of if you replant it or not). Burning any tree will have the same effect(bringing attention to the horrible events in the Amazon Rainforest). The animals will not be able to be leashed nor will they follow the player outside of their territory.

But as mentioned before these mobs are not hostile, you can gain their trust by planting jungle or oak saplings in their territory, by feeding some of the group members and cubs with melons(or bananas if those were to be implemented) and by helping to defend the tree from hostile mobs one night with the leader of the tribe(Silverback)(all requirements must be met for the tribe to trust you). Only if the group trusts the player, he will be able to climb up to the giant jungle tree were the monkeys/apes live. They might have a chest with some valuable things up their, possibly a Totem of the Undying or a banner pattern. The leader of the group will also attack hostile mob that are attacking you if you are in their territory if you have gained their trust.

The apes will spend their days climbing around tree vines walking around and bringing melons, in their one hand, to the leader which heals him. During the nights the leader will be protecting the giant jungle tree from the bottom as mentioned before. The cubs and other members of the groups will be resting on the tree.

The cubs will have 20(10♥️) Heath points the adult members would have 40(20♥️) Health Points and the Leader would have 80(40♥️) Health Points. The Leader would do Similar damage to the Iron Golem, the other members doing about 1/3 of that damage. The cubs would not attack back but run to the home tree if attacked. If any of the apes is attacked the whole group will attack you.

They should add silverbacks. Silverbacks are basically the king gorilla in a group. I think he should be double strong, and do a knockback smash when you get too close.
