Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things!

So, would it be like, an UNcrafting table?

I love this idea; other games have adopted crafting functions, but have an option to “break down” or unmake items into base items. An Uncrafting Table would be a great addition.

This would also be useful because it helps players gain resources more easily, which is something I personally struggle with. For example, when I find a mineshaft, I grab every fence-post and piece of wood I can. It would awesome to recycle all those fence-posts into more wood instead of trying to find a way to incorporate them into my build. It also makes sense because if someone actually needed a resource and they found something made of it, they would actually be able to pull it apart and take what they need.

We can melt gold and iron items to obtain iron or gold nuggets, which can be used to create iron and gold ingots. Although it takes A LOT of nuggets to actually create something, we can already recycle in some sort of way!

But extanding this idea to more items would be amazing!!

I've seen mods that let you uncraft for xp, if balancing is a concern.

I would also like to see a block that lets you melt down things like armor back into ingots, just at the cost of whatever you use to power it.

Also, if a function of this uncrafting table was to remove enchantments and put them onto books at the cost of lapis and or xp, I think that would be great too. Sometimes I find great enchantments on leather armor, and it winds up being worthless to me. Maybe cursed items have a higher cost of removal, or can't be removed at all
