Please make a way that we can play as a small child or a toddler, my daughter is desperate to play as a small character that she can play as, she is 6 and loves this game and also could you put animations with them like crawling, sitting, laying down etc she like to make up stories when she plays but with all the characters being big and the same size and the limited animations they have, well lets just say it would be more fun if you had different age characters, sizes and animations in the game.

These ideas are not very good in my opinion, not only because Minecraft is not a role-playing game, but also because you seem not to have really thought about how these changes might affect the rest of the game. For example, being able to play as a small character probably would mean you could fit through one-block high ceilings and have a smaller hitbox, which could give you an unfair advantage over other players in multiplayer or PVP settings. And tell me, how exactly would adding crawling or laying down enrich or add to the game? If your only answer is "storytelling", then you need to reconsider the soundness of your ideas.
That said, I would definitely encourage you to look into modded Minecraft (if you don't know, that basically means add-ons that someone else created for the game). Someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to point you to specifics, but I am sure that you could find mods that add some of the features you describe. You can start here (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Mods). Best of luck!
Hi macchupicchu96 thanks for you comment, I don't actually play the game myself, my daughter does who's 6, she doesn't play online with other people and plays on creative and peaceful mode only, also it's on the iPad, I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about the game cause I don't, but my little girl absolutely loves it and she has come up with these ideas herself, maybe they could just make small characters and animations only in single player mode then? She plays mostly role playing by herself on the iPad, I would like to gets mods for her but I have no idea how to do that or even if you can on the iPad, I'm not the best with technology, if any one knows of a dummie tutorial I can follow on the iPad please let me know. Thanks

Hello xD4DDYx, I have to be honest, there is just no way that features like these will be added unless there is a very good reason to, which there doesn't seem to be. With that in mind, I have two recommendations for you.
1) If your daughter doesn't have a good skin (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Skin) already, consider getting her one. There are plenty of skins available that would make your daughter's character look like a young girl, or a cat, or an astronaut, or really whatever she wants to look like. This might help your daughter feel more "in character" when she plays Minecraft.
2) If she is using an iPad, you need to look into add-ons, not mods. Mods are for the computer edition. Read this official article about add-ons (https://minecraft.net/en-us/addons/) to get started. It will take some research to get it to work, and I can't guarantee you'll find exactly what she wants, but you might find something she does like. Hope it works out!
You can design her a custom skin online, it could be smaller.

nope disagree , i mean its a cool idea but its just useless
I agree with this idea, solely for role play purposes. MacchuPicchu, I see where you're coming from, but like in xD4DDYx's case, their daughter likes being able to role play in her own worlds. I, personally can see how servers like Hypixel can make certain rules for sizes in PvP stances. I myself heir on the side of role play as a smaller player would make better diversity for said players, and could draw in more players to join in the MC community. Also, it could explain how the baby zombies, husks, and drowneds came to existence as the base sizes are basically recolored (retexured in drowned's case) versions of Steve.
I think these ideas could affect the gameplay too much...
It doesn't matter what the animations are or the character sizes are. Minecraft isn't really meant for very little kids
Why does this have so many votes? It's the worst idea.
an easy way to implement this is simply to have it disabled on pvp servers (like some skins are) and have character size work like baby animals and zombies where they have much smaller bodies, if it's a toggle option for server settings then, as a host, you could just disable it, that way it would be entirely optional if you had it in your server. additionally there are a lot of role play servers and having the ability to alter certain aspects of your character to fit the role of a child could help people play whatever role they want, in terms of gameplay, you could have it so kids require more food or can't hit as hard with weapons to make up for the advantages of being short. i understand that people would prefer different stuff to be developed but the fact is a LOT of younger aged people play this game and if their form of creativity is role playing and story telling then why refuse to let them do that, if the developers of the game can pull it off, why not let it be an option. plus having/forcing short characters could make some mini-games more interesting.
Sorry i just read the text so... Now i love it.
Tbh I think something resembling the More Player Models mod would be pretty neat if it were implemented into the base game. You would have to do certain things to unlock more models (like, say tame five horses to have a centaur model), and they would give you certain stat boosts. Normal and Small player models would be unlocked by default, and in 1.14 there is crawling now, but you can only crawl if you can't stand up. Maybe holding the Sneak button and the Sprint button would make you crawl any time?
This would be good but not as a core game feature
Why not make a roleplay mode with these features? I'm not a fan of this idea, but a roleplay mode could be better.
This seems like a great idea for a add-on!
I like this idea I was going to do it myself
I've been wanting this for years!
I was just about to post this I found I love this idea th let’s make ur 6 year old happy :)
I like this idea but I feel like it should have an off feature in settings or something
As Dio would say this idea is USELESS, USELESS, USELESS!
I mean, most people ask for another dimension, better game mechanics, or more blocks. Unfortunately I don't think developers would want to implement something this controversial or insignificant. I do have an idea for you though. Maybe you could instead ask for bedrock edition (the non computer exclusive version) to be able to be modded. I bet that many people would agree with that feature.
I think this should be solved by mods, not vanilla game.
İyi bir fikir şehir modu indirmiştim bizde çocuk ve bebek lazımdı mantıklı
on ipad you will have to install a separate app for mods or addons but i do think it should not be added into the vanilla game so use the addons app
I think there are better things to do than this, plus, it's a big advantage on multiplayer PvP.
Naturally, children are weaker and slower than adults, so they would have a longer time breaking blocks, slower running, weaker hits, et cetera.
A lot of people are asking to make kid villagers more useful, and this might be our key. I know a lot of little kids and typically they are shy around people who are literally twice their size, but if you were a little kid in Minecraft they would come up to you and trade with you for all sorts of strange items, from the novice level of their trade or just random objects in general.
In superflat worlds there is no way to get to the end unless you turn on those crazy floating strongholds, but now if you can play with the little villagers they might give you something for beating them. Most young kids have a strange and sometimes aggravating habit of picking up the most random objects from gravel to bottle caps to your neighbor’s car keys (LOL). So we can use this trait in the game, if you beat them you have a small percentage of getting a “strange rock” which if enough are collected (144) you could craft the necessary pieces to an END portal. But I wouldn’t enjoy this unless the probability of getting a strange rock or anything useful was below 2-3%. The games could also get harder (in that village only) as you play more because the overall skill is always getting better.
Another fun thing that might be fun is the ability to hide in chests, either just for the pure fun of it or for the ability to hide from monsters.
Another possibility instead of completely changing the gameplay dynamics by being able to spawn as something a block tall, it could be an endgame ability. Like either a special structure that when you jump into its water you shrink and become young “again”.
Or a youthful potion that when you drink it, it makes you young for two hours (so six Minecraft days?). You could brew this with something like a ghost tear, soul sand, and maybe a special drop from baby zombies, vexes or witches?
For Bedrock Edition, in Character Creator, you can make yourself look about 1.5 blocks tall.
I thought this was something that would make them used for farms or something
I agree, but there should be a trade-off on the abilities of a 1-block player.
As in real life children are weaker and slower than adults, they could be weaker (do 30% less damage) and slower (walk 10% slower) in the game. This would only apply on multiplayer (if the server admins allow those players). If an admin wants to give 1-block players the ability of an adult one, they could use a toggle to do that.
