I think it would be cool if there was emerald weapons and armor. Its weapon strength should be in the middle of wood and gold. Its armor protection should be in the middle of leather and gold.

This seems a bit unbalanced, since you can farm emeralds (but not diamonds.) Making a powerful tool that can be obtained from trading wheat or carrots sounds a bit strange. I find the idea very nice though, but by the time you have many emeralds, you will have diamond- maybe iron armor.
Because emeralds are so rare, I think the armour should have a special ability e.g. - get cheap trades with villagers if wearing full emerald armour or if each piece of armour (helmet, chest plate , leggings and boots) should repel a special type of hostile mob helmet-spider chest plate-zombie leggings-skeleton boots-drowned.
Useless, you can get iron and diamond easily. It whould be like terraria armors, no one will spend emerald making an even worst armor. They can add some special item to the game that needs emerals, but armor and tools? Definitely no
No, emeralds were made to be a currency and you wouldn't make clothes out of dollar bills in real life. You can buy, for less emeralds, a full set of enchanted diamond armour from a blacksmith so this would not make a good addition to Minecraft.
Finding emeralds by mining is just annoying, youre gonna find more iron than emeralds instead and therefore have better, iron gear before full emerald gear (Because gold is worse than iron if im not mistaken?). So mining for it would be pointless.
You can get emeralds very quickly with villager trading though. But youre gonna have full iron before you get villagers anyways so still pointless. Emeralds are much harder to obtain than iron, so if you make emerald worse than iron nobody will use it. Making emerald gear better than iron is a smarter idea, but considering how easily you can farm emeralds later game it would be a bit unbalanced?
I dont think I presented my points very clearly in this comment but you get the idea. Emerald gear would be useless.
It should Serve as a Rival to Diamond tools and Armor since Emeralds are rarer than Diamonds. It has the Same Durability as Diamonds, but it provides the same Strength and Protection as Iron. But it has Mending Build into it and it double Experience gain.
I feel like it would have to have some kind of added effect or something like natural poison resistance or something to make it stand out as neitherite is the current best with the highest protection and durability.
It could go for an alternative to diamond where you can have the option to make your neitherite armour with Emerald instead. It would be awesome to have more armour but it would just need to have a use especially with how rare they are until a good bit into the game unless you get lucky
Why not have Emerald Armor be an Upgrade Table version of Leather (or Iron) that gives a special effect (like Gold warding off Piglins, or Netherite being immune to lava and fire)? For example, Emerald Armor could make it easier to get good trade deals from nearby villagers.
Uh... Wasn't the idea of emerald tools and armor shot down by Mojang themselves in December of last year, during one of the Ask Mojang videos? Why is this still categorized as "Under Review" if the devs have no intention of adding it?
This is not a good idea. Emeralds have the specific purpose of being Minecrafts - or at least the villagers - currency and doesn't need tools and armour. Not every ore in the game needs a corresponding tool and armour set.
