How is this even under review? Emerald armor and tools would just be a worthless armor set. The only use I can think of is that it could temporarily increase your popularity and discounts.

I have been wanting emerald armor for a long time since it was first added. But I make the armor as good if not a little better and the weapons in between stone and iron. So as to not make it too op but enough to mnake you want it.

meh, i think that for emerald armor, what MINEBLOXER1213 said was good, but that you should combine 3 sets of Weapons, Tools, or Armor to get higher than netherite protection. You could collapse armor sets to combine on anvil.

I like the idea but maybe they should be a bit stronger than Iron in my opinion

I think that I think that the armor should be in between iron and diamond, and maybe it could give you the “hero of the village” buff. Then I could see it coming into minecraft.

Emerald is too weak as a material to make armour out of

So, I think that emerald weapons should be extremely durable, but when you break them, you should get a special item like "cracked emerald" and that could be either traded or crafted into special weapons. But only if you have another emerald weapon, like another axe/sword. I also think that there should have to be some kinds of buffs, like, maybe, "One hit Blast-Off", which would give you the ability, that when you hit a hostile mob, such as a skeleton, it detonates the mob, and severely damages all mobs around it except you. For armor sets, to get "excellent protection" you would have to either combine three sets of emerald armor, or make it exclusively out of mined emeralds.

No, not all ores should take part in the tool progression, I like the idea of ores being used for different things, emeralds should stay as they are.

It would be cool but the weapon strength should be in the middle of iron and diamond and same for the durability of armor

Maybe have 2 types of emeralds like trading emeralds and gemstone emeralds to make it harder to get

Emeralds are designed as a currency. Giving them a use like this would defeat the purpose of emeralds.

I agree that it shouldn't be very good because you can get infinite emeralds from villagers. That would be too good otherwise.

Absoutletly not, the emeralds are an in game currency, thats what makes it special. it would be less uniqe, the fact that this is even on the under review page baffles me. redstone is electricity, iron is midgame matieral, nethirite dosent burn in lava, emerald is villager currency, diamond is used to upgrade to netherite, copper oxcodizes and is a decrative block with some other practical uses.

Well, how about this use: if emeralds are the currency of villagers, maybe you can use the emerald tier gear as part of the currency too! So, instead of a pair of enchanted diamond boots costing 25 emeralds, it could cost 1 emerald armor/weapon/tool piece and use that instead? That would be a good usage for it, other than protection, durability and strength benefits of the gear.

Emerald is money, it is not made for armor or tool. It would be way too easy to have it.

I thought that emerald gear was replaced by netherite

This is just adding more armour thay no one will use. Well for the first month it comes out but after that no one will use it because it has no value and isn’t strong

Yes, I agree! Cephalosquid I would place the durability between iron and diamond somewhere... And DefiantEmerald1 I ageee that it should go somewhere between iron and diamond.

    Emeralds are a currency.
It doesn't matter how rare the ore is, you could still trade with villagers and instantly have a full set
    This wouldn't make much sense

Bro just consider trading with armorsmiths, weaponsmiths and toolsmiths to convert your emeralds to diamond armor/tools..
