I think that I think that the armor should be in between iron and diamond, and maybe it could give you the “hero of the village” buff. Then I could see it coming into minecraft.

Emerald is too weak as a material to make armour out of

So, I think that emerald weapons should be extremely durable, but when you break them, you should get a special item like "cracked emerald" and that could be either traded or crafted into special weapons. But only if you have another emerald weapon, like another axe/sword. I also think that there should have to be some kinds of buffs, like, maybe, "One hit Blast-Off", which would give you the ability, that when you hit a hostile mob, such as a skeleton, it detonates the mob, and severely damages all mobs around it except you. For armor sets, to get "excellent protection" you would have to either combine three sets of emerald armor, or make it exclusively out of mined emeralds.

No, not all ores should take part in the tool progression, I like the idea of ores being used for different things, emeralds should stay as they are.

Emeralds are designed as a currency. Giving them a use like this would defeat the purpose of emeralds.

Well, how about this use: if emeralds are the currency of villagers, maybe you can use the emerald tier gear as part of the currency too! So, instead of a pair of enchanted diamond boots costing 25 emeralds, it could cost 1 emerald armor/weapon/tool piece and use that instead? That would be a good usage for it, other than protection, durability and strength benefits of the gear.

Emerald is money, it is not made for armor or tool. It would be way too easy to have it.

This is just adding more armour thay no one will use. Well for the first month it comes out but after that no one will use it because it has no value and isn’t strong

Bro just consider trading with armorsmiths, weaponsmiths and toolsmiths to convert your emeralds to diamond armor/tools..

bad idea emeralds are used for trading plus they can be easily obtained through villages

May maybe the only way to get in though is bye trading with a weapon smith and the armour at a village.

For those who say it should be more powerful: no, because the emerald is rare IN NATURE, but if you trade with the villagers you can get a lot of it. But if it would be useless ... I think more than anything else that the emerald would be in my idea of jewelry.

Just to make this clear, the developers added emeralds intending that it would be used as a currency in Minecraft. Why diamond and iron have amour purposes and are not a currency? Because emeralds are the main currency. Also, it would be pretty much useless overall, the developers already added Netherite so I don't think we need to add another armor on top of that.

I have always wanted emerald weapons and tools to give them more utility although I would not be sure of an emerald armor.

2 things... 1: minecraft devs have already announced that unless new gear adds something to the the gear list, they will not add it. ex: netherite, which added a whole new level of gear. this sounds like your just mixing and matching normal armor. 2: i think that there should be more uses to emeralds, but tools and armor is not the way to go

This seems a bit unbalanced, since you can farm emeralds (but not diamonds.) Making a powerful tool that can be obtained from trading wheat or carrots sounds a bit strange. I find the idea very nice though, but by the time you have many emeralds, you will have diamond- maybe iron armor.

No! It's too soon after netherite! Honestly, I'm tired of these 8 year olds begging for dumb stuff

La forma de la armadura sería igual o parecida a la de netherite pero en verde.

Emeralds are the currency of the game, that is why it is more viable to get them with villagers than by chopping them, making them a mineral of tools and armor would not make sense
