Is it me, or did the Aquatic Update need pearls?

Here's what I would suggest:
Giant clam block can be found the deep ocean, ocean monument and/or underwater caves.
Giant Clam block opens and closes like chest, works like an item frame showing an item in its tongue if opened. Think of it as an item frame but a block. If redstone power is applied it will remain open. Comparator will give output signal if an item is in the Giant Clam Block. Items can be rotated. World generated loot table that consist of ender pearl, Heart of the Sea or nothing.
Make nautilus shell a block.
Remove Heart of the Sea in buried treasure loot table.anjelocarreon12492 made a great suggestion for how pearls/clams could be implemented so that they have an interesting use. I think it might be cool if the clam could also 'catch' you like a spiders web if you are in it when it closes.
I think perhaps sirens/mermaids need a separate suggestion brooklyncannon06 . Having two different suggestions here is confusing. I would be interested to hear what effect they might have on the game. Do they drop anything? How does their attack work? Does the player become charmed like in the myth?I am not writing everything go to my account and look at the post I made about Sirens (Thank you) Also I do not know what they drop, I am saying the "Is it me, or did the Aquatic Update need pearls?" Needs more detail He/she doesn't say where will they spawn and doesn't say what do. Also the Sirens Lure Players with their Enchanting voice.
I have an idea for this. A new Wandering Trader type can be added called a Treasure Hunter. Treasure Hunters only trade valuable items like Diamonds, Emeralds, Nether Quartz, Heart of the Sea, Ender Pearls, and Nether Star at a very high price for Pearls and vice versa, basically late game. Pearls can be obtained by harvesting from new mobs like Oysters and Giant Clams.
These 2 mobs spawn rarely deep in the ocean biomes (probably on warm ocean). Giant Clams yield more pearls than oysters. You can harvest the pearls by right clicking on an open clam or oyster. Right-clicking or attacking the closed one resets its opening timer. I'd also suggest not being able to breed these but can be collected and moved. For oysters, water bucket to make it into a Bucket of Oyster. For Giant Clam, I don't know how.
Just a thought of the Trades
1 Pearl > 4 Nether Quartz
12 Nether Quartz > 2 Pearls
24 Pearls > 2 Emeralds
48 Pearls > 2 Ender Pearls
64 Pearls & 4 Emerald > 1 Diamond
64 Pearls & 24 Emeralds > 1 Heart of the Sea (Cannot get this trade until the player gets Heart of the Sea first)
64 Pearls & 48 Emeralds > 1 Nether Star (Cannot get this trade until the player gets the Nether Star first)Paul Mario Ubalde (i don’t know how to tag!) I really like your idea about the Treasure Hunter. I also think though that pearls should be used for something aquatic related. For example, someone said that pearls should be craftable into ender pearls, but the pearl is aquatic and maybe should be craftable to Heart of the Seas instead.
