I have quite the controversial opinion, but if noone says it, it will stay unsaid and things will inevitably not improve. I think mojang needs 2 years rather than 1 year to work on their updates, and for 5 reasons. And quick disclaimer this post will be longer than the character limit, so check the comments for the rest of the details of my idea.
Reason #1. Bigger updates. Mojang has been complained about all over the internet for their inherent focus on quality over quantity in their features. With 2 years of time, they get time on their hands to focus on both. This way a larger amount of higher quality updates will be released, unlocking more player engagement than ever.
Reason #2. Extra attention to the feedback system, and the posters. As of now, there are hundreds of thousands of posts on the feedback site, and a large amount of them are actually amazing ideas that I think fit the game really well. However they do not get the attention they deserve most of the time and usually just end up being heaped with the rest of the garbage. With 2 years of time on your hands, you can both work on a better feedback system that addresses each individual person and respects their time, effort, and passion, but while you're at it, you can rework some of your rules and find actually thought out reasons rather than half cooked excuses to why you looked at a feature and could not make a work-around to fix their problems. This would make the community very happy. Continue to comments...
