Copper bulb

The copper bulb used too have a 1 tick delay and it made it super useful but now its useless its just basically the redstone lamp so please can you make it useful again. By making it have a 1 tick delay

    I agree, but useless is a bit harsh. It's still an one block T-flip-flop.

    I fully support this. 1 tick delay was a fantastic aspect of the copper bulb, there was no reason to remove that.

    The copper bulb is still useful as a togglable block, but there really needs to be a good way of making a 1 tick delay. Using a trapdoor and scaffolding is so janky. Either revert the bulb changes or add a different, better way of getting a 1 tick delay.

    Redstone can be put out of sync in other ways, using the copper bulb to reduce contrapition's size was a feature whose the community was happy about .
    Removing this feature of the copper bulb just will back to making fast contraptions annoying again .

    I was extremely excited about the upcoming redstone updates but this change really put a hamper on all the potential improvements to current redstone contraptions. I can also imagine less potential online content. I was looking forward to a bunch of new fun and efficient builds on YouTube....

    I don't agree that the copper bulb is completely broken now, but I do agree that it was nerfed unnecessarily. It having a 1 gametick delay is definitely really great for redstone builds, not only because of what it allows the community to do, but also because it means that the community doesn't need to use other bulkier features (which are also WAYY less intuitive) to achieve 1 gametick delays (such as observers, scaffolding, and leaves). the copper bulb is a far more intuitive way to do this.

    Intuitively, the copper bulb also makes sense that it could work abit differently in terms of tick delay. It's copper! Copper is known in the real world for being a very good conductor of electricity. While electricity and redstone are definitely very different, it would be neat to have a copper component that has a snappier 1 tick response in certain situations.

    that alone sold everyone into the copper bulb, pls change it back...don't throw away a good feature, this one would give a lot to explore for redstone players

    The copper bulb delay needs to be reverted back from two ticks to one tick...

    Completely agree, this was a terrible change. It does absolutely nothing for beginners or casual players who just want to use it as decorative light source and is actively harmful and discouraging for advanced players and redstoners! Please revert these changes asap!

    I think that the one tick delay made it better because this ment that Redstone could be more precise. It gave us more oppertunity and freedom to build Redstone.

    If Mojang wants to make sweeping big changes to redstone over longer periods of time (whenever for paritys or something elses sake), they should communicate these clearly. Alongside giving actual redstone creators time to play around with them and suggest things. Stuff like this to, suddenly take away first legitimately interesting redstone component since Observer years back, is obviously going to seem nonsensical. Copper bulb change should be reverted back to its 1-tick state, unless Mojang has an actual tangible roadmap and proof they got anything in the works already, that allows to achieve the same as bulb did.

    I dislike the reason for changing the timing of the copper bulb. One of the major upsides to getting it was that it WAS different than the other redstone components.

    Minecraft has always been about diversity and giving the players a ton of options. Taking away the 1 tick feature of the copper bulb is removing an additional option that we previously didn't have. In your own change log you admitted that some redstone builds will now break from this change.

    They could add a feature that a copper bulb has 1 tik per corrosion state. So no corrosion would be 1 tick. That would make it much more versatile for Redstone.

    keeping it inline with other devices makes sense. however having a simple block to create a one tick delay is needed. if the copper bulb is set to 2-ticks, a simple 1 tick delay block NEEDs to be added.

    Why on Earth was this "fixed".  Took an incredibly useful redstone component and made it worthless.  What next, are you gonne "fix" the bug that target blocks attract redstone wire?  Not very "consistent" with other blocks, Mojang.  Smh. What the actual.

    It's one of those things where, it's still a very useful block... but it removes one of the useful aspects. It's still a compact and reliable T-flip-flop (it's not one block, because of the comparator), but it's no longer a useful small way to get half-redstone tick timings.

    I too want the revert of the copper bulb to the 1 tick delay function that it was first shown as. Redstone Youtubers are saying how useful and fun it is to have it that way and I can't help but see it exactly how they state. Please revert the change and keep all of the hype of this amazing new block! I didn't think I'd be so excited for a new Block in Minecraft until I saw how useful it is on a 1 tick delay. It looks so fun!
