they need to bring back the 1 tick update delay, its very useful because all other redstone components are on even tick update delay and there is no way of getting an uneven tick update delay in redstone

GO BACK TO HOW IT WAS, FOR THE LOVE OF REDSTONE

The one tick delay was a unique and useful feature of the copper bulb and unlike the crafter it wasn't something that seems overpowered. I say it needs to be changed back to its one tick delay

If the 1 game tick is useful, why not add a separate component that just does that?
It probably wouldn't cause light updates unlike the copper bulb and could be more compact.

I think the removal of this feature shows a lack of care from the development team and displays their lack of communication with the community. There were numerous videos about how the useful the copper bulb was and I guess the development team was just too out of touch to care.

This change is absolutely vital, as it paves the way for the creation of far more compact and efficient gadgets. I earnestly implore you to reconsider and revert the change!

Trying to keep it in parity with other devices is such a misstep. The copper bulb being so powerful and unique could do a lot to simplify redstone devices, making them more accessible for novice or intermediate players.

The copper bulb delay needs to be reverted back from two ticks to one tick...

In agreement with everyone here, one tick delay copper bulb wasn't overpowered, it simply made 1 tick delaying components more compact.

the crafter was overpowered, and the changes to it are entirely reasonable. the bulb on the other hand was not overpowered, and this change makes it significantly less useful and exciting. this change does not help balance, it only throttles the block's value and thus excitement for the update

The copper bulb's 1gt activation delay adds flexibility and is full of potential for compact contraptions and  flying machines, and thats only the beginning because the community has only had a couple weeks to play with the feature. Minecraft redstone has a lot of depth and a single block that introduces an odd gametick delay is a potently interesting tool that enhances the richness of existing tools for inventive players. Removing the 1gt activation delay reduces the functionality because it makes the bulb more similar to noteblocks or trapdoors. Please revert the change, bring back the novelty and flexibility of the bulb.

I would like to say that I have never been on this website and I haven't looked at any of past feedbacks, but I have followed every snapshot with intricate details and I have always understood Mojang when they had to do some controversial things like the 1.9 combat update and others and I didn't really mind. But and I say this with all intention of having the change reverted, The Copper Bulb Was PERFECT, sorry for the shouting, but I actually wanted to see what cool contraptions people could do, and I saw many videos with redstoners getting all jumpy and excited for the copper bulb, and I know that Mojang also wants that as they said in Minecraft Live. So to sum it all up, the change for the crafter, don't really mind, I just don't have a controversial opinion on it, but the copper bulb that is where I have searched and looked for this site, where the "add new comment" button was, so that I can write this comment to  help Mojang to see that they made a REAL mistake with this one. That is all thanks for reading this any other minecrafters or the Mojang team.

I think removing the 1-tick functionality was a bad move. It made the block very unique, and allowed much cleaner and faster contraptions that aren't possible anymore. I understand the wish to make the game more consistent, but in this case I think the block was just watered down.

I think that the 1 tick delay is an nice edition for also new players who are learning redstone. Its not dificult to understand and also for big redstone contraptions this could be a game changer. I realy like the idee for an easy 1 game tick being added to minecraft. Its unique and it opens a lot of posibilities.

Please revert the changes! This and the versatility of a fast autocrafter were the only reasons I came back to play the game and I was having a lot of fun finding new redstone mechanisms to build and improve.

Once again, please revert the changes! :D

I share the frustration of having this 1-tick delay snatched away in the latest 1.21 snapshot.

However, I was thinking there might be an opportunity to have it both ways...

Proposal: make the copper bulb delay vary based on the oxidation level as follows:

    • normal: 0 game tick delay (like latest 1.21 snapshot)

    • exposed: 1 game tick delay (like prior 1.21 snapshots)

    • weathered: 2 game tick delay

    • oxidized: 3 game tick delay

As many have noted, the copper bulb was originally celebrated by the technical Minecraft community as it provided a quiet, compact, non-directional means for introducing 1 game tick delays into redstone contraptions.

At the same time, there is also some value in achieving faster comparator outputs when the bulb is used as a t-flip flop.

This proposal would allow us to have it both ways... and more. Plus, it ties into the copper oxidation level, so it intuitively makes sense!

Mojang, you had struck gold with the 1 tick precision that the copper bulb provided to redstone. If you take it away now, you will ruin practically all of your hard work and the whole hype regarding this update will halt until the next big thing. Don't let this be the next fireflies. This is an incredibly well-received feature. Bring it back and don't ever look back!

They could add a feature that a copper bulb has 1 tik per corrosion state. So no corrosion would be 1 tick. That would make it much more versatile for Redstone.

Strongly disagree with the idea that the copper bulb should be one-tick delayed because "I want it". Whether or not a 1-tick delay is useful in general isn't really relevant to whether the copper bulb should have it or not. The function of a copper bulb is to be a toggleable light source. For manual interaction and using it for that purpose in redstone, 0-tick delay is a better implementation. 1-tick delay created a weird, unnatural delay when interacting normally with the block and was nothing but a decrease in performance for redstone circuits that used the toggle property.

A potential solution for that could be different delays depending on oxidation state, but I don't really think that's a good idea because then creating a stable redstone device with copper bulbs would require you to make sure all copper bulbs are waxed, which is not an easily visible property.

According to kingbdogz, the 1-tick crafter and copper bulbs were intentional, they were nerfed because of a FALSE bug report

There are way too many suggestions relating to proposal of copper bulb single-tick delay. Please search before you post.
