Current mouse control problems:
currently on pc the controls for the game make it infuriating. if you are stuck in a crowd of mobs and try moving your mouse out of it, it will keep engaged on the mobs unless you unclick and click again, meaning you have to either constantly spam your mouse or just deal with dying because you can't out-tank the mobs. This removes a large part of the skill aspect of the game and makes it unfun, and i, personally have quit multiple times from frustration.
you are using the mouse for way too much, even if you had the multitasking capability to un-press and re-press to unengage the mobs while trying to keep yourself alive, it's still way too much clicking.
proposed mouse control solution:
make the character only engage when players hold the shift key down or keep their cursor on the enemy, and disengage when the shift key is released or they point away (even if they don't un-press and re-press the mouse).
my results when testing this solution:
To simulate this solution, i rebinded my melee attack/interact key to num lock, and wrote a python script to autoclick num lock at 120cps when i hold my mouse down. now my character instantly disengages when i point away from a mob and don't have my shift key pressed.
This has no downsides in my extensive use, and just massively improves the gameplay for PC players, i don't see any reason this can't be added.
