Bring Back The Old Icon. No I'm Not Joking.

The Grass block is iconic icon that has lived throughout our history, why change it to a flat... boring very undetailed creeper?

If you were going to change it to something that was intresting i would understand the point... but this flat picture, is just why?

 

Bring back the Icon... make a better Grass Block? if you wanted to make it better... Don't just remove the Iconic logo that we all grew up with over the years.

    All they had to do was update the grass block to the new textures from 1.14. but I agree, some flat texture doesn't help it stand out from all the shortcuts on my desktop.

    100% Agreed. I don't think the Mojang team over at Microsoft are really listening to any of its user base after a dozen of the same complaints and feedback posted on here, it should be painfully obvious by now that what they did was and still is 100% wrong. They keep making so many changes that are so totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

    It wouldn't surprise me if they just mysteriously take out actual creepers from the game itself out of a complete whim (or changing the creeper skin colour to red for no other apparent reason except for the mantra of "change").

    My suggestion would be to update the launcher .exe file to include the various icons from past and present versions so we can choose which icon we like best to represent Minecraft on our desktops. I seriously do NOT like the creeper icon (creepers trigger a minor PTSD-like reaction), and I've been forced to replace the current default desktop launcher icon with a stupid generic Microsoft icon. In my humble opinion, nothing was more iconic than the grass block, which practically screams MINECRAFT!  While the developers may have gotten tired of seeing the same icon, some of us users are quite attached to it.  We should have that choice to keep our historic icon, or accept the new default one, by including other [past] icons in the .exe file for us to choose from in the launcher's properties.  If not included in the launcher .exe file, please have the updater download an .ico file into the launcher directory for us to choose other icons from.
