Yes, this feature was very useful for decoration and I highly hope that this feature returns, plus, it was the one bedrock-exclusive design feature, and its removal just lowers down the bedrock edition even more than it already was.

I just go into Minecraft and buttons and levers on fences/walls were a design feature I used a lot but now that's it's gone this has hurt my creativity and desire to play the game. It didn't break anything or hurt anything so it needs to be brought back. Sadly untill this has been reverted I don't think I can continue with Minecraft.

I would also like to add to this, my boyfriend who after years of request just recently started playing.

He is more of a builder and created somthing using buttons placed on fences and walls, he was proud of this idea and as you mentioned has too used this in a lot of his builds.

As a result if this change, and being unable to finish somthing he was working on, he has lost a lot of intrest in the game. He currently finds himself not wanting to play, as of frustration caused by each attempt to place a button for the purpose of adding detail and intrest to his builds.

Adding details and intrest is a lot of what minecraft is about. More so for those we would call a builder. Having an aspect a game cause frustration in place of joy as I'm sure you would agree is not going to be a good thing for all those that exsperience it.

generally i dont mind changes to mechanics in minecraft but buttons are a key decoration feature. im currently buildimg a bridge and wanted to add buttons to give it more oomf, more drama, and i cant. its kind of infuriating, and it limits what we can do with our builds.

I think this needs to be put back into the game immediately because I used it a lot for decorative items like making walls look a little bit taller on the sides using string. That's just no. It doesn't look good enough and then you have this terrible hitbox and white crap on your screen. I'm not good with comments but all I know is it was a very bad choice to take that out. Now if it's a bug please fix it. It was a very very good decorative item. Thank you

I too have lost interest in doing it and haven't played it once since the update was done. Please help me spread the word to get this opinion to management.

I just found out the hard way (breaking a button and not being able to replace it) that this doesn't work anymore. It's a small detail but it adds a lot when you want nicer looking railings. I had always thought it was a feature--I hope it gets put back, like the floating candles were

I think it’s generally a bad game design principle for Minecraft to have something to be placeable on something else and then revoke that in an update.

Even worse, the buttons have started disappearing on stuff I made a long time ago and there is no good replacement option.

I started building a music studio which was supposed to have little microphones in it which I have historically made by placing a black stone button on an iron bar, which no longer works, not to mention all previous mics in the world are now just one iron bar with no button.

Retroactively breaking parts of people’s builds to fix something that wasn’t even a proper bug is incredibly irritating and bad game design. I love this game, but I find myself perplexed by its developers frequently. Please fix this so I can fix my old builds and make more new ones with this technique.

The removal makes no sense, MC is a place where you can use your creativity with very few limitations, but this is ridicolous, today I wanted to keep working on my FNaF pizzeria with a new light system, powered by buttons on fences, and when I pressed it it broke. I think this "fix" should be reverted ASAP.

Everything is already said. I also used buttons on fences to style 1 one-block-high walls on bridges and next to paths. I just realized the problem today building a new bridge next to an existing one. Removing this feature broke many existing worlds of players! Something Mojang promised to avoid! So please bring back this function!

I have to agree, the removal of this feature has really dampened my enthusiasm to finish the builds I'm working on. I had hoped it was a bug from the new update, but so far it hasn't been fixed. I really hope this wasn't a purposeful removal and rather unintended. Regardless a lot of my builds will remain unfinished until this feature is reinstated.

Who had the idea to “fix” this? Terrible change

It feels like removing the ability to place buttons on walls goes against the core of Minecraft damaging the second part of the name. It was the best way to create extra details to walls without resorting to placing string on top of them. The string itself is ugly when it can be seen whereas buttons match the texture and not only force a wall to become the end version but also add a little detail on top making it look rounded and more natural. I have used this feature in nearly every wall I've made and it is also incredibly useful for building details statues of many varieties. Which I have enjoyed creating a lot of for spooky environments and are now all broken.  This feature could not be used as an exploit did not break any gameplay and only added to the creativity and enjoyment of the game so it's removal is only harmful to the Bedrock player base.

Had several builds that concretely relied on this feature, and it was removed for the sake of parity apparently. Terrible change, terrible terrible change, really hope they change it back as this combined with many other stupid parity changes for bedrock has removed a lot of my interest in the game. Mojang needs to do better, smh

Whoever had the idea to remove this feature should be either fired or sent to a mental hospital.

I just now too discovered this removal of this feature and I am shocked! I already realized I couldn't add buttons or levers I never knew it was a thing at all when I actually started building! THANK GOD! But this hampers creative intentions without adding a mod to do it. I do it all vanilla in my megabuild. This is somthing I do not like to see happening in the community, damaging creativity!

Please revert this change. It has completely ruined a city build I had been working on for months. If it wasn't causing any problems, why change it? This has completely killed my motivation to continue playing. I invested so much time into my build and now an update, that should fix issues, has caused a game breaking issue as far as I'm concerned.

Been almost a year and still no fix. I hardly ever have fences without buttons on them, they just look better. Now every build that has the buttons, if I accidentally click it it will break….. I can’t stand it when things aren’t ordered and symmetrical so it’s basically ruined all my builds xD
