    But what about lag? And game speed? Why not just a structural system that is very very forgiving since this is minecraft not die+scream.

    Elaborate on “three-dimensionality” if you don’t mean “make them 3D blocks”.

    Gravity added to all blocks would just cause all caves to cave in and the surface terrain to collapse.
