We love your ideas and your questions! Here are some of the most common ones we get every single day:
What's in the next update?
Check out Beta Information and Changelogs to see things that are coming in future updates!
Where are mods?
The team is hard at work on creating a modding API that will allow players to create mods for Minecraft. More on this will be revealed soon but check minecraft.net/addons for what is possible now.
What about scoreboards?
Scoreboards are on the way!

Why can't I join servers via IP addresses on consoles?
Console makers have restrictions over what players can connect to and these are rules that Minecraft must follow. As a result, connecting to server IP addresses is limited to Windows 10 and mobile devices.
What's going on with Super Duper?
The graphics engine is being redone to make Super Duper be super duper. When we say redone, we mean totally redone. When we have more news we will post it everywhere.
When is (INSERT OTHER FEATURE HERE) coming?
We have no timeline for when things might be added to Minecraft. Be sure to look at the rest of the Feedback site and up-vote posts requesting whatever features you like so the team knows you want to see it sooner, not later!
What's the latest on the Minecraft movie?
We don't have any information, sorry!
Why aren't you updating my PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and Wii U editions of Minecraft after Update Aquatic? We need updates!
Update Aquatic is the last big effort to keep PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and Wii U editions up to date with our newer versions of the game. We would love to keep bringing new content to all our players forever, but it's about numbers!
The older generation of consoles now make up less than 5% of our active players, so we’ve made the difficult decision to focus our efforts to support players where they play Minecraft the most and where we plan to add new features on: Java Edition, PlayStation 4 Edition and the versions of Minecraft made with the Bedrock Engine on other consoles, mobile, and Windows 10. We need furniture!
Minecraft has all the blocks you need to make furniture!
Where are sharks?
The good news is, the community has already made mods and Add-Ons that have sharks in them. If you have a good fantasy shark idea, we would love to hear it.
Why no guns?
Realistic firearms would push the game out of its current age rating, causing many players to not be able to play the game. In addition, they don't fit the theme of the vanilla Minecraft experience.
